What We Believe

Foundationally, we believe in Jesus, the Son of God, who died, rose from the dead and invites us to be a part of his work of redemption here on earth.

We are part of a denomination whose motto is: “In essentials, unity; in nonessentials, liberty; in all things, charity.” This means that, by the grace of God, love is at the heart of all we do, and while there is room for disagreement, dialogue, and growth on secondary issues, our essentials are rooted in both the Protestant reformation and two ancient creeds held by Christians around the world for many centuries: the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed.
